The leaf spring for the tailwheel is fixed to the fuselage through F11 and F12. The bolting takes place through Alu-angles (3/16 x 1,5) fixed to the bulkheads.

Due to the flexing action of the leaf spring which is in fact a rotating moment to the fixture, fatigue breakings should be possible.

To counteract this it may be beneficial to locate the AN3 bolts preferably near to the bulkhead to shorten the arm (moment) as much as possible.

By 'rounding' the distance block to the leafspring (underneath F12) we give room for the flexing action of the leaf spring and the stress of the fixture should be reduced.

May be it will improve the flexibility additionally if we change the lower fixture plate against a steel rod stub to give more room for movement in both directions.

The fixture at F11 should be supported by a rubber spacer between leaf spring and skin/angle possibly.
